Overlooking Loch Sunart and the tidal island of Eilean Mor, Brightwater Lodge's elevated position offers guests privacy and stunning views of the everchanging light on land and sea. Built from local stone and timber, it emerges seamlessly from the rocky coastline.
Floor to ceiling windows framed by massive Norway Spruce tree trunks create a striking living space with breathtaking views. Otters and sea eagles are frequently seen from the comfort of the sitting room. This must be one of the most comfortable "wildlife hides" in the country! Throughout the year the lodge is positioned to enjoy every moment of sunlight from dawn to dusk.
The substantial hand carved stair case and beams are key features.
Brightwater Lodge sleeps 4. Both bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom. The master bedroom has a super king bed with sliding patio doors leading to the garden and barbecue. The spacious bathroom has a wet room with rain shower and a spa bath large enough for two. Upstairs there is a twin bedded room with an en-suite bathroom and spa bath. Egyptian cotton sheets are supplied for all beds.
We have a Gold award from the Green Tourism Business Scheme and are commited to minimising our impact on the environment whilst offering the highest possible comfort and quality.
Solar panels and an air source heat pump heat the house using natural energy sources. The south facing double glazed cathedral windows also add warmth. There is underfloor heating throughout the entire ground floor and an open log fire for extra comfort and character.
Brightwater Lodge is an ideal sanctuary combining landscape and seascape to enable you to escape, relax and unwind.
