What to see and do

Your holiday on Ardnamurchan can be as relaxing or action packed as you want it to be.

You can enjoy spectacular views and wild life watching opportunities without even leaving the house: from Otter Lodge you can see Pine Martens and Otters and watch the Highland Cattle grazing. From Glenmore House you can sit and read in the orchard and collect plums and apples and from Glenmore Cottage you can watch Herons and waders feeding around the pond and saltmarsh

You can spend relaxing days –

exploring deserted sandy beaches

discovering ancient Atlantic oakwoods

watching the sunset over the islands of Eigg, Rum and Skye

Or you can be more energetic and climb Ben Hiant, Ben Resipole and even Ben Nevis for spectacular views, take a boat trip to explore the sea life of Loch Sunart and the Treshnish Isles to encounter Puffins, Dolphins, Whales and even Basking Sharks.

Whatever you choose and wherever you go you will be struck by the stunning scenery and sense of open space and tranquillity.

You can visit the Ardnamurchan Natural History Centre, Ardnamurchan Point Visitor Centre and Ariundle Centre for a wealth of information on the area and delicious home baking and food. Ardnamurchan has a wealth of history and Castle Tioram with its spectacular setting on the shore of Loch Moidart is breathtaking.

Ardnamurchan is an ideal stepping stone to the islands of Mull and Skye. Lochaber – Scotland’s Outdoor Capital of the UK - has a wide variety of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors as well as hosting several world class events. Each property has a folder full of brochures to help you make the most of your stay.
